Wella Company

The Website Boutique is one platform that runs all of Wella's brand sites. Flip a setting and the whole site switches brand, with its own theme, content, languages and redirects. I built the frontend with one other developer, and a new brand site can be designed and built in about a week.

The Build

The frontend is built with Next.js, React and TypeScript, styled with SCSS modules, and uses Radix UI for accessible components and Framer Motion for animation. Content comes from a Strapi CMS, search runs on Typesense, and translations are layered so each brand only overrides the strings it needs to. Components are developed in Storybook, tested with Jest and React Testing Library, and the whole stack runs locally in Docker before deploying through AWS Amplify.
